This snare has a great range and can really be tightened up to get a great pop. It has a small imperfection/scratch in the laquer where a mic clamp was mounted. Although there is a DW Solid Shell badge on the outside of the drum, there is no Craviotto signature or Craviotto stamp. This is a 5.5" by 14" custom-built maple snare drum, built using a 6-ply Keller maple shell. It has been finished with a Red Mahogany stain, and has chrome hardware. The throw-off is DW's brand new MAG throw-off, which uses a magnet to provide smooth movement. This snare is loud, and has a nice crack- very fun to play! It is very lightly used, and shows almost no signs of wear (there is one small, light scratch, but because of its location under a tension rod it is hardly visible).
